Launch a Career Helping Others
Come and explore the true rewards of assisting families and individuals in need. We seek people who are committed to improving the lives of others.
The Maryland Department of Human Resources (DHR) provides assistance our state's most vulnerable residents through a wide variety of social and public services including food stamps, energy assistance, medical assistance and temporary cash assistance.
The department is currently has entry-level openings for people looking to start a career in government service. We seek to hire people to assist in accepting, reviewing and processing customer applications for a wide-range of public services. On occasion, the positions may require evening and weekend hours. Extensive training is provided and prior computer skills is a plus.
This is a rare opportunity to be a problem-solver for some of the most vulnerable and needy residents in the state. We are especially interested in considering people who have received temporary cash assistance in the past, owe child support or those who have aged-out of the Maryland foster care system.
